I first discovered Devney Perry last year and have been devouring every book of hers that I could get my hands on. She is an amazing writer and gives us characters and stories we love to get lost in. And I have been loving her Lark Cove series since the very first book. In Tinsel, we get Sofia Kendrick and Dakota Magee’s story. Both of whom we have met in previous books in the series. This can be read as a standalone, however, I highly recommend reading the entire series as it is so good!
Sofia Kendrick is Logan Kendrick’s sister and she is looking for change. Life has not been very good to her. Granted, she has not always made the best choices either. Spending time with her brother and his family seemed like a good idea. Now she is working with Dakota and that man knows how to push her buttons. Though Sofia was not very likeable when we first meet her, we get to see a different side of her in this book.
Dakota does not need Sofia’s help. He knows how to run the bar just fine and no spoiled princess can do what needs to be done. But she surprises him at every turn. I loved seeing Sofia realize she is so much more than she imagined. Dakota is going through his own issues and struggles as well. Though Dakota and Sofia come from different worlds, they find a connection with each other.
I absolutely loved Tinsel by Devney Perry and this entire series as well. The characters, stories and their journey will captivate you from the start. I loved watching Sofia coming into herself and Dakota strong sense of self. The characters were amazing, and I could not put this book down.
