Logan Ward doesn’t want any more women in his life.
Being a football player and legal guardian to his four younger sisters means his playbook is full. However, one of them just landed in the hospital, which gives his brother the shot he needs to challenge Logan for custody.
Legal counsel says there’s only one thing Logan can do—find himself a wife.
Paige McKinney doesn’t always think things through.
Like walking away from her modeling career without a thought of what might come next. She really doesn’t think it through when she proclaims herself Logan’s fiancé at the hospital, simply because the sexy—albeit grumpy—football player forgot his cell phone at a party and security won’t let her pass. It’s not her fault it was overheard by the worst possible person.
A bargain is struck, and a fake marriage is the perfect solution. But the simple solution creates a whole new problem: they’re not as different as they seem. The reluctant groom has fire inside him, and his impetuous bride is about to light the match.

I am loving reading the Washington Wolves series by Karla Sorensen. They have been fun and steamy sport romances with great characters and stories. In the third installment, we meet Logan and Paige in The Marriage Effect with a fake romance with non-fake feels. I loved it!
Logan is a football player and the guardian of his younger sisters. Both are his life and he would do anything for either, but when one of his sister’s is admitted to the hospital, his brother is ready to challenge his custodial rights. He will do what needs to be done to make sure that does not happen. But when his lawyers recommend getting a wife, what is a guy to do?
Logan was strong and determined, but when it came to his sisters, he is all heart. When both of them find themselves in a bind, they end up in a fake marriage, but there is nothing fake about the chemistry they are feeling. But it is not real, right? The Marriage Effect by Karla Sorensen was such a great slow burn romance. I loved Logan and Paige so much. They were great characters and watching them fall was so much fun.
