Whispers of my Skin by Susana Mohel was my first read by this author and I truly enjoyed it and look forward to more of her books. What a journey it was. A second chance romance that was suspenseful and captivating.
Tara needs help and she must ask the one person she never thought she would need again. Tara and Joel knew each other when they were younger, but circumstances separated them. Now she needs help with her family ranch. I loved how strong Tara was, even as she was vulnerable. Joel was amazing! He was all cowboy and a whole lot of sexy, but also strong and determined.
Joel and Tara were amazing together, but they had a lot to overcome. There was so much push and pull, but we could see their connection. Whispers of my Skin was a nice surprise and gave me a new-to-me author to continue reading in the future. I loved the characters very much. They had so much chemistry and the story was angsty and full of twists.
