Eden Goodnight went to Los Angeles to make it big, not to be publicly humiliated by her cheating fiancé at a red-carpet premiere. But when Eden returns to her hometown to put the scandal behind her, she can barely find a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Turns out the locals are worse than the paparazzi, and they all think she’s turned into a spoiled brat. But in a strange twist of fate, the one person who seems to understand what Eden’s going through is Cooper Mayfield . . . the boy she left behind.

Small-town charm is no match for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. At least that’s what Coop’s been telling himself all these years. As Eden’s old flame—and the landscaper for her family’s historic home—Coop feels some responsibility for getting her out of her funk. But as soon as he sees that million-dollar smile, he’s a goner. Soon they’re making out like teenagers again. But when a life-changing role falls into Eden’s lap, Coop just hopes she doesn’t give up on a love that’s meant to be.

I love this book, so very much! Jilted is the perfect addition to your summer reading list!!

Eden is Hollywood starlet, who left her hometown and Coop, her boyfriend, behind for the chance of a lifetime. Both were prepared for a long distance relationship but that was just not in the cards for them. Fourteen years later, Eden is back after being publicly dumped by her fiance at his movie premiere. But Eden never thought she’d run into the man she loved so long ago.

Coop is now owner of his own landscaping business and was not prepared to have Eden back in his life. Sure, he thought about her from time to time but never expected her to come back…or for them to still be attracted to each other. He’s moved on from his past and wants to keep it that way. But living in the same house with the girl he once saw his forever with is going to be the true test.

Before you know it, rebound sex for both of them is on the menu but relationships are not. Little did they know that their chemistry would never die down.

I was not prepared, at all, to fall in love with Eden and Coop. I was expecting that I was not going to like the Hollywood actress who came back to her small town expecting to be received with open arms. Then, I figured everything is Coop’s fault because, well, let’s just blame it all on the guy. In all honesty, both characters were so likeable, I couldn’t help myself and I really enjoyed them both. Fourteen years is a long time for two people to be apart, but Eden and Coop came back together so effortlessly (and with a LOT of hot sex).

When they first were around each other, I loved how feisty they were and yet, when push came to shove, they had each other’s backs. Their light hearted banter made it fun even when you knew the floor was about to drop from underneath them. And when they came to the crossroads? Get your tissues ready.

Overall, I highly recommend Jilted for that person in need of a good, fun, lighthearted and genuinely great second chance romance book.
