A rainy Halloween night. A burned-out attorney driving the dark road leading into St. Helena. A drenched, stranded, Shakespearean actress dressed as a witch, and a whacked-out cat.

Stir the cauldron and watch as the spell is cast. Things get serious when DESTINY PLAYS with Christos Santini and Kate Cornell.

I loved Destiny Plays by Leslie Pike. In this story, Leslie takes us back to St. Helena and the Santini family. I loved this family in Destiny Laughs and it was so much fun to catch up with them again. This time we get Christos Santini’s story.

On a rainy Halloween night…yep, that is how it starts! Anyway, on a rainy Halloween night, prim and proper attorney, Christos, is heading to St. Helena to see his family. He is reflecting on his life when he unexpectedly stumbles upon a very wet woman, dressed as a witch, with a crazy cat. Being the gentleman that he is, he offers her a ride. And his life is never the same again!

Kate Cornell is a well-establish Shakespearean actress with her future mapped out. She has worked very hard to be where she is today. She has no regrets in regards to her love life. It’s not as if she has gone without, her career has just always come first. Even so, she is fun, sexy and very independent.

When Christos and Kate meet, they feel an immediate connection. The chemistry between them is strong. Both in their forties, they are not looking for anything serious, but the more time they spend together, the stronger the connection between them is. They both realize what is growing between them is unique and maybe, just worth fighting for. But what plans will destiny play in their future?

Just as Christos and Kate realize what they mean to each other, responsibilities may tear them apart. Can they find a way to be together?

I loved Destiny Plays. It is a quick and charming read about two people who find each other when they least expect it, but realize the significant of what they have. And visiting the Santini family and seeing Farrah and Nash again was an added bonus!
