Behind the Plate by J. Sterling is worth the read if you read or have not read The Perfect Game series, but if you have, it’s an extra special treat. Because if you have, this is the story of Jack Carter’s son, Chance. Chance who is so close to making all this dreams come true. Then he discovers he is failing a class that could stand in his way. The answer? Tutor Danika, who is off limits, right? His dreams come first.
I loved Chance. He was dedicated, determined and charming and loves his family. Danika is smart and full of sass and tries to be a good person. She is in a relationship that she has been questioning for a while when she meets Chance. Though the attraction is there, they both become friends first. Behind the Plate by J. Sterling is a fantastic read that had a bit of angst and a whole lot of charm. I loved it!
