Though each book in the series is a standalone with interconnected characters, reading in order gives you more of the story and I highly recommend it. Archer is a bit lost and broken when he meets Kian. He is grieving the loss of his partner and trying to help his sister.

Kian is easygoing, vivacious and full of charm. Archer is strong, caring and hurting. They are opposites and yet their connection is undeniable. I loved the time they spent together and their push and pull. Their journey was not an easy one and I was captivating from start to finish.
