Tierney Haven and Burr O’Leary come from completely different worlds…

…but there’s a reason they say “opposites attract.”

Bookish Tierney Haven has always preferred places to people, and she especially loves the peace and quiet of Moonstone Manor, an estate museum located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where she is head docent, chief historian and live-in caretaker. The very last thing she expects to find on the doorstep at midnight is bruised and bloodied stranger, Burr O’Leary, in desperate need of her help.

Against her better judgement and at the risk of her brothers’ wrath, Tierney offers Burr sanctuary at Moonstone Manor, and nurses him back to health, surprised to discover that the dashing, enigmatic stranger loves the history and peace of Moonstone as much as she. But Burr has a dark history, and those who hurt him will stop at nothing to eliminate him...placing Tierney in grave danger until he is well enough to find them first.

I am a huge fan of Katy Regnery. I love how she weaves sweet and charming stories we can get lost in. In Smiling Irish, the next story in her The Summerhaven Trio book, we get Tierney Haven’s story.

For Tierney, life seems perfect. She loves her family and is working her dream job. But when Burr O’Leary finds himself on her doorstep, badly hurt, she offers him help. Though Tierney has always been a bit of a loner, I loved seeing her determination and loyalty shine when it came to Burr.

Burr was so sweet, though his nature was that of a protective alpha. He would do anything to protect Tierney. But after getting himself into a dangerous situation, will he put Tierney in danger? Especially as he begins to care more deeply?

Though I find Katy’s writing to be more on the light and sweet side, in Smiling Irish we get a bit more suspense. Tierney and Burr are opposites, but you know what they say about opposites! Soon they find themselves facing danger.

I loved Tierney and Burr’s journey in Smiling Irish. Though their attraction was instant, they develop a strong connection worth fighting for. I also loved seeing past characters and cannot wait for the next book!
