From USA Today bestselling author Willow Winters, comes a provocative, standalone, contemporary romance.
Some men are born with a black heart and a tainted soul.
I never liked to admit it back then; I thought I could outrun who I am and lie to myself.
But I accept the truth now. It’s in my blood and in my bones. In every impure thought and desire.
I tried to leave. To do the right thing and walk away from my past.
But then she came back into my life.Stumbling towards me and looking up at me as if I’m the one she’s been looking for all this time.
As if I could be her savior and take her pain away.
If only she knew. She turns me into what I hate most about myself.
Selfish, ruthless, possessive.
I tried to be a good man. To be cold and distant and warn her away. She should have taken the hint and run.
She didn’t…
And now she’s mine.

I have read a several Willow Winters books in the past and have always enjoyed her writing, however, in Possessive, I felt she took it to a different level. This was an emotional story about a forbidden (of sorts) second chance romance.
Addison was such a sad and broken girl. A part of the foster care system, at seventeen she finds herself living close to the Cross family. She finally feels like she has home and a place where she could belong. She meets Tyler Cross and craves the attention he shows her. He is caring and kind to her, but it is his older brother, Daniel, that she is truly attracted too.
Daniel wants Addison as soon as he sees her, but then she starts dating his brother. I loved Daniel. He saw himself as a bad person, but he was a good man, he just could not see it. He feels responsible for what happens to his brother and carries that guilt with him.
Addison begins dating Tyler and likes how he makes her feel, but because of her feelings for Daniel, eventually breaks things off. Not able to live with herself, she leaves. When tragedy strikes, it drives a wedge between Daniel and Addison. When she returns, they try to deny what they feel, but Daniel decides he finally wants her for himself.
Addison and Daniel had such chemistry that dripped off he pages, but also a history that stood between them. There was so much guilt and denial between them. This was an emotional story that was captivating, and I loved it!
