Heather Wainwright is your typical celebrity who feels entitled and looks down on most people. At least she is at first glance, but there is more under her façade not many get to see. Having worked hard to be where she is today, she lets no one see too deep. She lets no one know her insecurities or flaws. She knows who she is and how others perceive her, and she is okay with that. She wears it like an armor. Heather was not always likeable. She has her flaws and could be such a diva. But she struggles to overcome so much and we see her grow throughout the story.
Seth Rafferty may not have been completely honest when he first met Heather, but he has known woman like her before and has no time for them. Except somehow Heather gets under his skin. I loved Seth. He was such a strong and determined man and took no crap from Heather. He never sugar-coated anything and never apologized for it.
Though Heather was not very likeable at the start, as we read this story we understand her more and realize what she keeps buried. Their attraction is instant, though she initially believes he is beneath her. But Seth slowly begins to break down her walls. They share a lot of sexual tension and chemistry! Can they learn to be honest and open with each other before it’s too late?
Enjoyable friends to lovers story about two opposites who are drawn to each other even as they continue to push and pull. This was a a quick, fun and sexy read about a Hollywood diva and the man that turns her life upside down.
Star Struck is the story of Heather Wainwright, Hollywood Diva, and Seth Rafferty, the gorgeous carpenter/production designer. This book was a good mix of fun, sarcasm, wit and some hot, steamy sex!
I did enjoy this book, however, I had a really hard time with Heather. Something about her just made it a no go for me until almost halfway through the book. Heather is definitely a diva with an attitude which made it tough for me to even want to get to know her.
Now Seth, on the other hand, WOW! He was fun, sexy, humble and had a VERY dirty mouth. I loved that Seth totally put Heather in her place, on more than one occasion.
Both Seth and Heather have secrets about their pasts. Will they be able to keep their skeletons in the closet or will the past come back to haunt them both?
Star Struck was a good opposites attract romance, and Heather and Seth had instant chemistry and I truly enjoyed their banter.
