Series: The Broken Hearts Duet #2
Bitter Truth by Lauren K. McKellar is the conclusion to the Twisted Hearts Duet. It picks up right where we left off in Honest Love. It is not a standalone, Honest Love must be read first. My heart was broken at the end of Honest Love and let me tell you, Bitter Truth was just as heartbreaking. The feels in this book and duet were all over the place.
Bitter Truth was a story about second chances and forgiveness. The journey was so emotional, but so worth the tears and heartache. Cameron and Everly had so much to overcome. They were both broken and lost. Could t hey help each other or was it too late for them?
I loved Cameron and Everly. Cameron was drowning in his grief and loss. And then he seemed to find a purpose, but was it really his purpose? Everly had her own secrets and struggles. We get more insight from her this time around. They were amazing characters that will tug at your heart.
The Twisted Hearts duet is a must read emotional and heartbreaking journey to find their second chance and forgiveness. This is a story you need to experience, it is worth the journey. I loved the characters and story and cannot wait to read more from this author!

passion, all desire, all lust. Weeks of longing for this man exploded within me

stubble, his teeth as they bit against my lip in a heady mixture of pleasure
it. He was my truth.
