Zeke Daniels isn't just a douchebag; he's an a**hole.

A total and complete jerk, Zeke keeps people at a distance. He has no interest in relationships—most a**holes don’t.

Dating?
Being part of a couple? Nope. Not for him.

He's never given any thought to what he wants in a girlfriend, because he's never had any intention of having one. Shit, he barely has a relationship with his family, and they're related; his own friends don’t even like him.

So why does he keep thinking about Violet DeLuca?
Sweet, quiet Violet—his opposite in every sense of the word.
The light to his dark, even her damn name sounds like rays of sunshine and happiness and shit.

And that pisses him off, too.

I swear I do not know where I have been and why I waited so long, but I am loving the How to Date a Douchebag series by Sara Ney. In The Failing Hours we get Zeke Daniels, who we met in The Studying Hours, and who I was not sure I could like at all and Violet DeLuca.  Though it was a close call, Zeke won me over!

Zeke is a complete jerk. There is no other way to put it. Even his friends do not seem to like him most of the time. He is insufferable, rude and arrogant, but he is also a bit lost. I do not want to give away too much, but we do learn why Zeke is the way he is. It took a sweet and quiet girl with her own issues and an honest little boy to finally reach Zeke. Even then it was touch and go sometimes, but in the end, he does us proud.

I love, love, love the slow burning and friendship building stories Sara Ney gives us. The banter between Zeke and Violet and Zeke and Kyle was everything! I laughed and cringed and loved every minute of listening to this story! Sara Ney is definitely an automatic 1-click author for me now!
